The Valley of Nightmares started as a small idea in the brains of two crazy kids after deciding to build a site together. Eevereon started off with a small but nice site called Ryo-Sato. It had about 20 pages of content and a cute layout. Ryo-Sato was sucessful for a while and then one day flufyumbreon stumbled across the forums. So she joined and Ev and flufy began talking. They became friends fast and flufy was a regular visitor to Ryo-Sato. So flufyumbreon had wanted her own website for a while now and after becoming friends with Eevereon she started to do some research on websites. After about 3 weeks Howll at the Moon was born. Sure it was a pre-made Freewebs website but flufy was pleased with it. Lets say she was really niave then, I was. She updated almost every day but when she wanted to add an AAP page she found that you could only have 7 pages. This made her go crazy so she went to the RS forums to ask Ev for help. Ev was starting to struggle herself, though. Alot of people had come and started complaining to her saying that her site was just a S-R rip off artist - so flufy and Ev got rid of them. flufy forgot all about HATM and the two started planning for a remake of RS. After about 2 weeks EV put her site back up on the net. But now it was bigger and better than ever with a new layout, new content and a new name. Shiranami was born. So now that SN was up and Ev was happy again flufy remembered about HATM. So she went to Ev who gave her some links to great HTML help sites. flufy went away for a while and came back with some pretty basic HTML knowledge. So she went and opened a new Freewebs account and started to build HATM from scratch. It had no layout, a blue Mew blog from Mew's Hangout and two links at the bottom of the page. The she realised that she didn't know how to make a link to a new page so she went back and learned more HTML. Now that she knew quite a bit she added new pages and got a layout off Ev. It was a simple layout and was coloured black and dark purple. flufy was pleased with this and was ecstatic when Ev offered to make her a new layout. It was orange with Spitfire and a Quilava in the banner. Shiranami was getting really popular and Ev decided to get a new host. Intellecthost was okay for a while but then the server was hacked and SN went down. So Ev tried to contact her host but he started avoiding her. HATM's new layout was having problems and Freewebs was acting crazy. flufy was getting annoyed with the site because nothing was working properly. flufy and Ev were having a convo on MSN when flufy suggested they make a website together. Ev liked the sound of the idea so they started planning for the new site. Valley of Nightmares was born on 23rd of January 2005. Now you might have thought this was the end of the story...we all lived happily ever after. Nupe!! VN had been running smoothly for about 6 months.. but then we got attacked by some flamers from SR. They spammed our tag board, ran around topsites saying we were awful (one dude said we should be killed) and attacked the members of the VNB. Fortunately we managed to get rid of them...but they used up all our bandwidth...soo...VN went down for a month. flufy was really annoyed at that because she'd just finished school for 6 weeks and she was gonna do loads of stuff for VN but she couldn't get into the CP to update XDD Thanks to our awesome fans we jumped yet another hurdle!
