.:: Tips n Tricks ::.
Okies so you've got a website and you're sat staring at the hits counter waiting for it to finally go up. Well we can't make you site superly famous with everyone knowing your name but we can help you half way!
1. First you have to make sure you actually have some content. Take a look at some popular sites and you'll see that they usually have 50+ pages of
content. And the content isn't boring or totally weird either. Make sure that you don't ramble on about nothing and that you keep the content related to your website. For example...if you have
a website about Yu-gi-oh don't blabber on and on about Inuyasha (unless you create a different section for it), that'll make no sense at all.
2. Once you've got all your content have a layout to put it on! You don't have to make this yourself but some people prefer it when you do, it shows
that you care for your website and are willing to make a layout yourself and spend time on it. Try and have an attractive layout too. This doesn't necessarily mean you should
paste a load of images all over that place because that'll make your layout take forever to load. The layout doesn't have to be amazing, look at CoD.. the layout isn't spectacular but it does it's job and is nice enough to look at.
3. Advertise!! it's no good having a pretty layout and cool content if nobody knows where your site is. Advertise on forums, topsites, tell your
friends ect. It's slow but eventually lots of people will come looking at your site, and they'll tell their friends about it too!
4. Try and have some interactive stuff such as forums and oekakis. These are different everytime someone visits and are great to get people to keep coming back to your site. They're also good places for people to get to know the actual webbies better and to make friends
5. Be nice! Nobody likes a grouchy webbie who swears all the time and complains when people point out errors on their site. If you're going to have young children looking at your site make sure it's suitable for all ages, this means no swearing, hentai, pron ect.
6. Believe in yourself!! If you think your website is rubbish and nobody will ever visit then people never will. Keep working hard and you'll be as popular as any site out there one day!
